Target user

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch touchscreen laptop built for home and business users who need a responsive Full HD display, a large 64GB DDR4 memory capacity and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home on an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.

Suitability limits

This configuration suits people who value touch input, ample RAM for multitasking and fast NVMe storage in a carbon-black chassis. Buyers who require a discrete graphics card, a higher screen refresh rate, more than one USB 2.0 port or an optical drive should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 64GB DDR4 SODIMM memory, because it determines whether the system can handle the buyer's concurrent workloads without paging to the 1TB NVMe SSD.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Inspiron 3520 and what must I buy separately?

The laptop ships with a 65 W power supply, a 3‑cell 41 Wh battery, Windows 11 Home pre‑installed and a carbon‑black chassis. No optical drive, no USB‑C hub and no external peripherals are included.

Should I choose the 64 GB DDR4 configuration or a lower capacity?

The 64 GB DDR4 SO‑DIMM is already the maximum memory this model supports, so there is no lower‑capacity version to select; the system arrives fully populated.

What does the 4.2 GHz turbo figure mean once the i5‑1135G7 is inside the laptop?

The 4.2 GHz turbo is the peak single‑core speed the processor can reach under thermal headroom; sustained multi‑core workloads will run closer to the 2.40 GHz base clock.
