Dell Inspiron 3520 for everyday productivity

This 15.6 inch laptop pairs an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout. It suits students, office workers and home users who need responsive multitasking and ample local storage for documents, media and applications. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Dual storage capacity and headroom

The 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD provides fast boot times and quick access to active projects, while the 1TB HDD adds deep capacity for archives and large media libraries. Together they handle typical workloads comfortably; the 8GB memory ceiling and integrated Iris Xe graphics become the limiting factors for heavy creative suites or modern gaming titles.

Practical limits of the integrated platform

The Iris Xe GPU shares system memory and targets light content creation and casual gaming at 1080p resolution. The 120 Hz IPS panel refreshes smoothly for video and general use, yet the 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth 5.0 links cap network throughput below newer Wi-Fi standards. A single USB 2.0 port alongside HDMI and an SD reader covers basic peripheral needs.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB DDR4 memory work with my existing DDR4 SO-DIMM modules?

The laptop comes with 8 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM installed; the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor supports DDR4 memory, so additional DDR4 SO-DIMM modules can be used if a slot is available.

How can I verify the 120 Hz 1920 x 1080 display is running at its full refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings, go to System > Display > Advanced display, and confirm the refresh rate shows 120 Hz for the built-in 15.6" IPS panel.

What accessories are included in the box and what must I buy separately?

The package includes the Inspiron 3520 laptop, a 65 W power adapter and a 3-cell 41 WHr battery; no optical drive, external mouse or laptop sleeve are supplied.
