Ready for daily productivity

This Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor. The 24GB DDR4 memory and 512GB NVMe SSD give smooth multitasking and fast boot times. A 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen adds direct input for office work and study.

Touchscreen and memory fit the workload

The 1920 x 1080 touch display is the single specification that decides suitability. It supports pen or finger input for annotation and navigation. The 24GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM handles multiple browser tabs and business applications without swapping. Buyers who need a discrete graphics card or a larger SSD should look elsewhere.

Straightforward setup with one common snag

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed so the laptop reaches the desktop after the first-boot prompts. Driver updates arrive through Windows Update and the Dell SupportAssist tool. The non-backlit keyboard can be hard to read in dim rooms and the 3-cell 41WHr battery may need a recharge during a full workday away from a socket.

Questions about this item

What does the 10-core i7-1255U deliver in everyday workloads?

The processor runs at a base speed of 1.20 GHz and can boost to 4.7 GHz across its 10 cores and 12 threads, so multitasking with office apps, browser tabs and media playback stays responsive.

What external displays can the HDMI 1.4 port drive?

The single HDMI 1.4 output carries video up to the panel's native 1920 x 1080 resolution; higher-resolution monitors will be limited to that maximum.

Will this 14.15 x 9.25 x 0.90 inch chassis fit in a standard 15.6 inch laptop sleeve?

Yes, the dimensions match a typical 15.6 inch form factor, so sleeves or bags labelled for that screen size will accommodate the 3.5 lb device.
