Dell Inspiron 3530 Business Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3530 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop built for office and remote work. It runs Windows 11 Home on a 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. The system includes 64GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVME solid state drive. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 display at 60 Hz.

Suited to Multi-Tasking Professionals

Workers who keep dozens of browser tabs, spreadsheets and video calls open will benefit from the 64GB memory and fast NVME storage. The touchscreen and 720p webcam support collaborative sessions and presentations. Buyers who need discrete graphics for 3D rendering, heavy video editing or gaming should look elsewhere. The 45W power supply and integrated graphics limit sustained high-performance workloads.

Thermal Behaviour Under Load

The 10-core i7-1355U can reach 5.0 GHz turbo speeds for short bursts but will throttle under prolonged heavy compute tasks. The slim chassis and 45W adapter restrict cooling capacity, so clock speeds settle lower during extended compilation, large file exports or back-to-back meetings. Fan noise increases noticeably when the processor sustains high utilisation. The 3-cell battery provides limited runtime during intensive use.

Questions about this item

What ports do I need on my existing monitors or docks to connect the HDMI and USB 3.2 Gen1 outputs on this Inspiron 3530?

You will need an HDMI input on the display and a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port on the dock or hub; the laptop provides one HDMI and two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports for external connections.

Can I keep using my older USB 2.0 peripherals with the single USB 2.0 port on this laptop?

Yes, the USB 2.0 port is backward compatible, so keyboards, mice, printers and other legacy devices will work without adapters.

How can I verify the 64GB DDR4 memory and 2TB NVME SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance to confirm 64 GB DDR4 and 2 TB NVME appear, and check Settings > System > About for the installed RAM and storage totals.
