14.0" Snapdragon X1P laptop

This Dell Inspiron 5000 ships new with a 14.0 inch LED display at 1920 x 1200 resolution. It runs on a 10-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X1P processor paired with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1024GB SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Suits mobile work, not discrete GPU tasks

The ARM-based SoC delivers integrated Adreno X1-85 graphics and a 45 TOPS NPU for AI workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics, a touchscreen, a 2-in-1 hinge or a fingerprint reader should look elsewhere. The backlit keyboard and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity support productivity on the move.

40Gbps dual USB-C decides dock compatibility

Two full-function USB Type-C ports provide 40Gbps throughput with Power Delivery and DisplayPort alternate mode. A single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, a universal audio jack and a microSD slot complete the I/O. Buyers requiring additional Type-A ports or legacy video outputs need a hub.

Questions about this item

What type of memory modules does the Snapdragon X1P-64-100 require if I ever upgrade the 16GB DDR5?

The system uses LPDDR5x-8448 memory soldered to the board, so the 16GB cannot be upgraded or replaced with standard modules.

Will my existing USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A peripherals work with the two 40Gbps USB-C ports on this laptop?

Yes, the USB-C ports support USB 3.2 and earlier protocols, so Type-A devices work with a passive adapter or cable.

How can I verify the Adreno X1-85 GPU and 45 TOPS NPU are active after installing Windows 11 Home?

Open Task Manager > Performance to see the Adreno X1-85 listed under GPU and the NPU 0 entry showing Hexagon activity.
