A 16-inch laptop for everyday work

The Dell Inspiron 5620 ships with a 16.0-inch FHD+ display at 1920 x 1200 resolution. It runs Windows 10 Home and includes an integrated webcam. The chassis measures 14.05 by 9.92 inches and weighs 4.12 lbs. This configuration suits students and office users who need a larger screen in a portable frame.

The processor that sets the performance ceiling

An Intel Core i5-1235U with 10 cores and a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency handles the workload. Integrated graphics share the 12GB of system memory. The 256GB SSD stores the operating system and applications. Buyers who need discrete graphics or more storage should consider other models.

Simple setup with limited upgrade paths

Windows 10 Home is preinstalled so the laptop is ready after the first boot sequence. The lid-open sensor powers the device instantly and a fingerprint reader handles login. ExpressCharge reaches 80 percent capacity in about an hour. Memory and storage are not user-accessible, so future upgrades are not practical.

Questions about this item

What does the 4.4 GHz turbo frequency actually deliver in daily use?

The 10-core i5-1235U reaches 4.4 GHz on short bursts, so web browsing, office apps and video playback stay responsive while the chip runs at 3.3 GHz for sustained workloads.

What wireless standard does the 802.11ac adapter support and what throughput can I expect?

The 802.11ac Wi-Fi connects to 5 GHz networks at typical real-world speeds of several hundred megabits per second, sufficient for streaming and video calls.

Will this 16-inch chassis fit in a standard 15-inch laptop sleeve?

At 356.78 mm wide, 251.9 mm deep and 15.67–18.3 mm thick, the 5620 matches the footprint of many 15-inch models, so most 15-inch sleeves accommodate it.
