Dell Inspiron 5640 16-inch Touch Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 5640 is a 16-inch touchscreen laptop built for professionals who need a responsive display and ample memory. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core 7 150U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. The system includes 64 GB of DDR5 5200 MHz RAM and a 2 TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. A 300-nit FHD+ WVA panel with ComfortView Plus reduces eye strain during long sessions.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This configuration suits office workers, students and creators who value a large touch display, fingerprint security and fast wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The ice-blue backlit keyboard helps in low-light conditions. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for gaming or 3D rendering should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics cannot drive high-frame-rate titles or heavy GPU workloads.

The specification that decides fit

The 10-core Intel Core 7 150U processor with a 5.4 GHz maximum turbo frequency is the single specification that decides whether this laptop matches your workload. It delivers strong multi-threaded speed for productivity, compilation and multitasking within a thin chassis. If your applications demand higher sustained clock speeds or discrete GPU acceleration, this CPU will be the limiting factor.
