Questions about this item

How is the Dell WJ461 bottom base installed on an Inspiron 6400 or E1505, and which step is most often missed?

Remove all screws from the old chassis, transfer the motherboard, drives and daughter-boards, then re-attach every screw; the step most often missed is re-seating the memory and Bluetooth module doors, which are not included with this part.

What future maintenance or replacement should I plan for with this WJ461 base plastic?

The part itself is a structural shell and needs no scheduled replacement; plan only to replace the separate memory and Bluetooth doors if they become damaged or lost during reassembly.
