Ready-to-use 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron i3535-A735BLK-PUS is a new 15.6 inch laptop with a Full HD IPS touchscreen, an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, 16 GB of memory and a 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD. The display reaches 220 nits brightness and covers 45 percent NTSC colour gamut at a 60 Hz refresh rate. It ships with a lithium-ion battery rated for up to 11 hours of use.

Suits mobile workers who want pen and finger input

Buyers who need a backlit keyboard for dim environments should look elsewhere. Users who require an HDMI port or any external display connection will not find one on this chassis. The 16 GB memory is provided as a single module and the storage uses a 2242 form factor, so expandability differs from full-length M.2 designs.

1 TB M.2 2242 SSD decides the upgrade path

The single drive uses the shorter 2242 form factor, so a standard 2280 SSD will not fit without an adapter or a different mounting point. This constraint determines whether the laptop can accept a larger off-the-shelf replacement drive.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.5 gigahertz boost clock translate to everyday performance?

The eight-core Ryzen 7 7730U can lift to 4.5 gigahertz for short bursts, giving snappy response in web browsing, office apps and light creative tasks while staying within its low-power envelope.

What external display options does the laptop provide?

The specifications list no external display connection, so an external monitor cannot be attached directly; a USB-C dock or adapter would be required if the port supports video output.

What is the physical size of the installed solid-state drive?

The 1000 gigabyte drive uses the M.2 2242 form factor, which is shorter than the more common 2280 module and fits the dedicated slot on the motherboard.
