Dell Inspiron Touch 15.6" laptop

This 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop runs on a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U processor with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB NVME SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Home and includes a 720p webcam, integrated speakers and a standard keyboard. The black chassis weighs 3.5lb and measures 14.15 IN x 9.25 IN x 0.90 IN.

Ports and connectivity for peripherals

One USB 3.2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen1 and one USB 2.0 port handle external drives, mice and docking stations. An HDMI output connects an external monitor while the SD card reader ingests media directly. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 provide wireless links and a headphone/microphone combo jack covers audio.

Thermals and power in daily use

A 45W power supply charges the 3-cell battery and powers the system under typical workloads. The U-series processor targets low thermal output so fan noise stays modest during office tasks and video playback. Integrated Intel graphics keep power draw lower than discrete alternatives.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-1355U throttle under a continuous heavy workload?

The 45 W power supply and 3-cell battery limit sustained output, so the processor will drop clocks once thermal limits are reached.

How loud and hot does the chassis get during an all-day work session?

With only a 45 W adapter and slim 0.90 in profile, fan noise becomes noticeable and the base warms up after several hours of load.

Which ports and memory standard must my existing peripherals and modules match?

You need USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 2.0, HDMI and an SD card reader; memory must be DDR5 as the 32 GB soldered kit is not user-replaceable.
