Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 Wi-Fi Card

This Dell Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 provides 802.11ac/a/b/g/n wireless connectivity in an M.2 form factor. It is a new network card intended for compatible laptops or desktops with the appropriate slot.

Best For Laptop Upgrades And Repairs

The card suits technicians or owners replacing a failed wireless module in a Dell system that accepts the M.2 keying and antenna connectors. It will not fit devices lacking an M.2 slot wired for Wi-Fi, and buyers needing newer Wi-Fi standards should look elsewhere.

Interface Is M.2 Keyed For Wireless

The single specification that decides fit is the M.2 interface and physical keying required by the host device. Confirm the slot type and antenna layout before purchase because an incompatible key or missing headers will prevent installation.

Questions about this item

What Wi-Fi standard limits throughput when the 7265 card runs flat out?

The card uses 802.11ac, so its radio link caps the maximum sustained data rate.
