Business desktop for mainstream work

The DELL 3000 is a slim form-factor desktop built around an Intel Core i5-12500 six-core processor with 18 MB L3 cache. It ships with 16 GB memory and a 512 GB NVME drive running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. The compact chassis suits offices where desk space is limited and everyday productivity is the priority.

Sustained office workloads

The six-core CPU maintains steady throughput across typical business applications such as spreadsheets, browser sessions and video calls. The NVME storage keeps boot times and file access responsive during long working days. Integrated graphics drive dual displays via DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI without a discrete card. Front and rear USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports handle peripherals without bottlenecks.

Upgrade from older SFF PCs

This unit replaces ageing small-form-factor desktops that struggle with current Windows 11 requirements or slower mechanical storage. The jump is worthwhile when moving from a dual-core or four-thread system to six modern cores and NVME speed. Buyers who need discrete graphics expansion or additional internal drive bays should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 6-core i5-12500 run inside the 11.42 x 3.65 x 11.42 inch slim chassis under all-day load?

The 65 W processor and compact 15 lb small-form-factor case use Dell's business-class thermal design; fan noise stays at office-background levels and surface temperatures remain warm but safe during continuous operation.

Which display cables must I already own to use the single DisplayPort 1.4 and single HDMI video outputs on the rear panel?

You need a DisplayPort cable for the DP 1.4 port and an HDMI cable for the HDMI port; the system includes a USB keyboard and mouse but no video cables.

Will my older USB 2.0 peripherals work with the two front USB 2.0 ports and two rear USB 2.0 ports on this desktop?

Yes, all four USB 2.0 ports are fully backward-compatible, so legacy keyboards, mice, printers and flash drives connect and function without adapters.
