Refurbished Latitude 5420 for business users

This refurbished Dell Latitude 5420 targets professionals who need a portable Windows 11 Pro machine with a quad-core Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB NVMe drive in a 14.0-inch FHD non-touch chassis. The Grade A cosmetic condition means only minor signs of prior use.

Sustained workloads on integrated graphics

The Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory, so extended rendering or multi-monitor sessions will draw from the 32 GB pool rather than dedicated video RAM. Thunderbolt 4 ports can drive external displays or docks, but the integrated GPU and shared memory architecture limit performance during long, heavy graphical tasks compared to discrete solutions.

Verify ports and expansion needs before ordering

The unit provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, one RJ-45 jack and a 3.5 mm combo audio port. A microSD card reader is included, but there is no full-size SD slot or optical drive. Confirm these connections match your peripherals and that the single 1 TB NVMe drive meets your storage requirements.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Core i7-1185G7 get when the laptop runs all day?

The quad-core Tiger Lake processor has a 12 MB L3 cache and integrated Iris Xe graphics, so sustained workloads stay within the thin-and-light thermal design without extra cooling hardware.

What must I already own to use the two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the HDMI 2.0 output?

You need Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C cables for the two Thunderbolt ports and a standard HDMI cable for the 2.0 port; the laptop ships with its power adapter only.

Will my older USB 3.0 peripherals work with the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports?

Yes, the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices, so existing drives, mice and keyboards connect without adapters.
