Refurbished business laptop with 32 GB memory

This refurbished Dell Latitude 5520 ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and a Grade A cosmetic rating. The quad-core Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor and 32 GB of system memory support everyday office workloads. A 15.6-inch non-touch FHD display provides a 1920 x 1080 workspace.

1 TB solid-state drive for fast boot and storage

The single specification that decides fit is the 1 TB SSD, which holds the operating system, applications and user data on flash storage with no mechanical hard drive present. Shared system memory feeds the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics for video output.

Questions about this item

What does the 32 GB of memory mean for everyday multitasking on this Latitude 5520?

The 32 GB of system memory lets you keep many browser tabs, Office apps and background services open at once without hitting the swap file, so the i5-1145G7 can stay on its higher turbo frequencies longer.

How does the Intel Iris Xe graphics share the 32 GB memory pool, and what does that limit?

Iris Xe uses a slice of the 32 GB main memory as video memory, so heavy 3D or 4 K video work reduces the RAM left for applications and caps frame rates compared with discrete graphics.

What physical space does the 1 TB SSD occupy inside the 15.6 inch chassis?

The 1 TB solid-state drive fits in the internal M.2 slot of the Latitude 5520; no 2.5 inch hard-drive bay is used, leaving that area free for battery or cooling.
