Product identity

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6-inch business laptop with an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor, 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB NVMe solid-state drive. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and uses integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics with shared system memory. The non-touch FHD panel has a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a dark-grey chassis graded A for excellent cosmetic condition.

Installation notes

As a complete laptop there is no internal assembly required; simply power on and follow the Windows setup. The sealed chassis means memory and storage are not user-accessible, so plan capacity at purchase. Driver updates for Thunderbolt 4 and Iris Xe graphics should be run after first boot to avoid early connectivity or display issues.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that the 256 GB NVMe capacity meets your workload, as the drive cannot be upgraded later. Confirm that the two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, single HDMI 2.0 output, RJ-45 Ethernet and microSD slot cover your peripheral needs. The 3.5 lb weight and 0.78-inch profile suit mobile professionals, but buyers needing a touchscreen, discrete graphics or larger storage should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core i7-1185G7 is running at its 3.0 GHz base speed after I set up the laptop?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency settle at 3.0 GHz under light load; the quad-core Tiger Lake chip with 12 MB L3 cache should hold that speed consistently.

Which accessories are included in the box and what must I purchase separately for the J5-5520A26?

The unit comes with the laptop and its power adapter; a docking station, external monitor, carrying case and any USB-C hubs are not included and must be bought separately.

Should I choose the 16 GB memory and 256 GB NVMe configuration or look for a different capacity for business travel?

The 16 GB RAM and 256 GB NVMe drive are fixed on this SKU; if you need more storage, add an external NVMe enclosure via one of the two Thunderbolt 4 ports rather than swapping the internal drive.
