Mobile workstation for creators

The Dell Precision 5560 combines an 8-core Intel Core i7-11850H running at 2.5GHz with 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. An NVIDIA RTX A2000 with 4GB of video memory drives the 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Ports and expansion to verify

Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one HDMI 2.0 output and a single RJ-45 jack handle peripherals and networks. An SD card reader is built in. There is no optical drive. Confirm that your monitors, docks and accessories match this port selection before ordering.

Thermal behaviour under load

The 13.56 x 9.07 x 0.45-inch chassis weighs 4.5 lbs and uses internal cooling to manage the 24 MB L3 cache processor and discrete GPU during extended render or compute tasks. Sustained workloads will raise fan speeds and surface temperatures as the system balances performance with its thin profile.

Questions about this item

Does the J5-P5560A03 ship with a power adapter or only the laptop itself?

The laptop, a power adapter and documentation are included; no external peripherals are required to start working.

With 64 GB of memory already installed, is there any reason to choose a lower-capacity version of this Precision 5560?

The 64 GB configuration is the maximum factory option, so no higher-capacity version exists; choose it when you need the full memory ceiling for large datasets or virtual machines.

How does the 2.5 GHz base clock on the i7-11850H translate to everyday compile or render times?

Eight cores and a 24 MB L3 cache let the 2.5 GHz base sustain heavy multi-threaded workloads, while Turbo Boost raises single-thread speed for responsive interaction.
