Connects 3.5-inch SAS backplanes in PowerEdge 2950 servers
This Dell KC411 cable connects the 3.5 inch backplane in a PowerEdge 2950 server. It carries SAS signals between the drive cage and the controller. The part is new and built to Dell specifications for that platform. System administrators maintaining these servers use it to replace a damaged or missing link.
The cable routes inside the chassis to join the backplane to the RAID card or motherboard header. It frees the drive bays for hot-swap SAS drives without adapter brackets. Builds needing a different backplane form factor or a non-Dell server cannot use this specific part.
