1100 W DC power supply compatible with PowerEdge R510, R520, R620, R720, R810, R820, R910, R920, R940, T620, T640, T710 and VRTX servers
This 1100 watt DC power supply is built for Dell PowerEdge rack and tower servers. It fits the R520, R620, R720, R820, R920, R940, T620, T640 and VRTX platforms. System administrators replacing a failed unit or adding redundancy will find the correct form factor and connector layout.
The unit accepts a wide 100 to 240 volt AC range at 50 to 60 Hz, making it suitable for global deployments. In normal use it delivers up to 1100 watts of DC output to the server backplane. Thermal performance and acoustic profile follow the original Dell engineering specifications for the supported chassis.
This supply supports hot-plug replacement so a failed module can be swapped without powering down the host. It is not suited for non-PowerEdge hardware or for systems that require a different wattage or form factor. Buyers needing a lower or higher output rating should select a different model.
Measured against everything we stock in ATX Desktop Power Supplies, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Slide the unit into the hot-plug bay until the latch clicks, then verify the green AC and DC LEDs are both lit; the missed step is confirming both LEDs before assuming the supply is online
The internal fan is the only moving part; plan to vacuum dust from the intake grille periodically and replace the fan assembly if bearing noise appears
The 1100 W output ceiling is reached before any other constraint; the supply will throttle or shut down if the combined draw exceeds that rating
