Replacement laptop motherboard with Intel Core i3-7130U processor for Dell Latitude 7490
This new LA-F322P board is built for Dell Latitude 7490 laptops that need a direct swap. It arrives with an Intel Core i3-7130U dual-core processor already soldered in place, running at 2.7 GHz with 3 MB SmartCache and a 15 W TDP. Technicians restoring a failed system or upgrading from a slower CPU can install it without reballing or firmware changes.
The 15 W TDP keeps heat output modest, so the existing Latitude 7490 cooling assembly handles normal workloads without extra noise. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the display without a discrete GPU adding thermal load. Power draw stays within the original chassis limits, so the factory power adapter remains adequate.
The board includes two SODIMM slots supporting up to 32 GB of DDR4-2133 memory and an M.2 2280 slot that accepts both SATA and PCIe NVMe SSDs. HDMI 1.4 provides 4K at 30 Hz, while USB-C with optional Thunderbolt 3 enables 4K at 60 Hz. Buyers who need Thunderbolt 3 certification or more than two memory channels should look elsewhere.

Remove the battery first, then disconnect the display cable and all ribbon connectors before unscrewing the board; the step most often missed is forgetting to transfer the heat-sink thermal pads onto the replacement board.
The CMOS coin cell will eventually need replacing, and the thermal paste under the heat-sink should be refreshed every few years to keep the 15 W processor cool.
The 15 W TDP ceiling is reached first, causing the chip to throttle its 2.7 GHz base frequency once the cooling solution saturates.
