Professional Mobile Workstation

The Dell Latitude 14-5491 is a 14-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8850H hexa-core processor running at 2.6GHz with 9MB cache. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 system memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive. The 1920 x 1080 LED display is non-touch, and the system runs Windows 10 Pro out of the box. Integrated graphics handle the visual output.

Suited For And Not Suited

This configuration suits professionals who need high memory capacity and fast NVMe storage in a compact 14.0 inch form factor for office productivity and multitasking. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the system relies on integrated graphics. Users needing a touchscreen interface or an optical drive will not find those features here.

Deciding Specification

The 32GB DDR4 memory is soldered to the maximum supported capacity, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. This fixed memory ceiling is the single specification that determines whether the laptop can handle your long-term workload requirements.
