Business laptop with 14.0" display

The Dell Latitude 14-5491 is a new business notebook built around an Intel Core i5-8400H six-core processor running at 2.5 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. The 14.0-inch LED panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Professionals needing portability

This configuration suits mobile workers who value a light 14-inch chassis, long battery runtime and the security of a fingerprint reader. It also fits IT fleets that standardise on Windows 10 Pro and 802.11ac wireless. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming, or who require more than 32 GB of system memory, should look at a different class of machine.

256 GB PCIe NVMe boot drive

The single specification that decides fit is the 256 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. It determines how much local data, applications and operating-system files you can keep on board without external storage. If your workload demands a larger internal volume, this unit will not meet that requirement.
