What this laptop is

The Dell Latitude 14-7490 is a 14.0-inch business laptop with a quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor running at 1.90GHz. It ships with 8GB of memory, a 256GB solid-state drive and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. The display supports touch input at 1920 x 1080 resolution and uses integrated Intel HD Graphics.

Who it suits and who it does not

This machine suits professionals who need a portable Windows 10 device with a touchscreen for presentations or field work. The integrated graphics and 16GB memory ceiling mean it is not for buyers who want more storage, discrete GPU performance or the ability to upgrade beyond 16GB of RAM.

What to check before ordering

Confirm that your workflow runs on Windows 10 Pro and that the non-backlit keyboard is acceptable for your lighting conditions. Verify that the single HDMI port and three USB ports cover your peripheral needs. The chassis measures 0.70 x 13.03 x 8.7 inches, so ensure your bag or dock accommodates those dimensions.
