Business laptop with 16 GB DDR4

The Dell Latitude 3520 ships with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 15.6 inch 1366 x 768 IPS display at 60 Hz. The configuration suits office workers and students who need reliable everyday performance.

Sustained workload behaviour

The four-core CPU operates at a 2.40 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.2 GHz turbo when thermal headroom allows. Under continuous multi-threaded load the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and processor share the same cooling solution, so clock speeds will settle below the peak turbo to maintain stability. The 65 W power adapter supplies enough energy for typical productivity tasks without throttling.

Thermals noise and power draw

A three-cell 54 WHr battery and 65 W charger keep the system running during normal office use. Fan noise remains low during light browsing or document editing and becomes audible only when the processor sustains higher frequencies. The chassis stays warm but not hot to the touch during typical workloads.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the 15.6" 60Hz IPS display and 54 WHr battery produce during all-day use?

The 65W power supply charges the 3-cell 54 WHr battery while the 15.6" 1366 x 768 60Hz IPS panel draws modest power, keeping fan noise low during typical office workloads.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 and HDMI ports?

You need a USB-C cable or hub that supports USB 3.2 Gen2 speeds and an HDMI cable for external monitors; the laptop also provides two USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a micro SD reader.

Will my older DDR4 SO-DIMM modules work alongside the installed 16GB memory?

The system ships with 16GB DDR4 SO-DIMM already installed; additional DDR4 SO-DIMM sticks can be added if a free slot is available, matching the same DDR4 specification.
