DELL Latitude 3590 laptop i7-8550U 1.80GHz 8GB

This DELL Latitude 3590 is a 15.6-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8550U processor running at 1.80GHz. It comes with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles visual output on a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed for professional use.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits office workers and students needing a reliable machine for documents, email and web browsing. The 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD handle typical productivity workloads. Buyers who need more memory for heavy multitasking or larger storage for media libraries should look at other configurations. Gamers or creative professionals requiring discrete graphics performance will not find it here.

The specification that decides fit

The Intel Core i7-8550U processor defines the performance ceiling for this device. Its four cores and eight threads deliver solid speed for everyday business applications. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 shares system memory and limits 3D capability. If your workflow depends on GPU acceleration or sustained high clock speeds, this processor choice makes the unit unsuitable.

Questions about this item

How long can the 8GB RAM and i7-8550U run at full speed before thermal throttling cuts performance?

The 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U at 1.80GHz with integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 will hit its thermal ceiling first under sustained loads, as the compact 15.6 chassis limits cooling capacity for the 4-core processor.

What are the fan noise and surface temperatures like when the 15.6" laptop runs demanding tasks all day?

With the Intel HD Graphics 620 and i7-8550U sharing the same cooling system, expect audible fan spin and warm keyboard deck temperatures during extended 1920 x 1080 workloads on the 15.6 non-touch display.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM configuration out of the box?

The unit includes the Dell charger for the 3590, so only a network cable or Wi-Fi access point is needed to activate Windows 10 Pro on the 256 GB SSD with 8 GB memory.
