Portable 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 is a 12.3" detachable tablet running Windows 10 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It ships with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The FHD 1920 x 1080 touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and includes an auto-deploy kickstand rotating up to 150 degrees.

Upgrade from heavier clamshells or limited tablets

This device replaces a traditional laptop when weight and flexibility matter more than discrete graphics. The jump is worth it for users who need a full Windows environment with pen and touch input in a sub-2 lb chassis. It does not suit buyers who want more storage than 1 TB or builders who need a second card for GPU acceleration.

Fits a minimal carry kit with USB-C docks

Two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort functionality drive external monitors while the USB 3.0 port handles legacy peripherals. Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi handle wireless connectivity. The 42 Whr battery targets all-day runtime on the 12.5" panel. A stylus is sold separately, and the OEM AC adapter is included for charging.
