What it is

The Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 is a new 12.3 inch detachable laptop running Windows 10 Pro. It uses an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor at 1.7 GHz with Intel HD Graphics 620, 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 128 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The Full HD touchscreen resolves 1920 x 1080 and includes an auto-deploy kickstand rotating up to 150 degrees.

Who it suits

Mobile professionals who need a lightweight tablet with a detachable keyboard for note-taking, web apps and video calls will value the 42 Whr battery and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Buyers who want more storage, discrete graphics or additional legacy ports should look at something else.

Build fit

The device provides one USB 3.0 port and two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort output, plus a headphone jack and Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless peripherals. An OEM AC adapter is included while the stylus is sold separately, leaving the Type-C connections free for external displays or docking.
