Built for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5420 is a 14-inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. An Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor and 16GB of memory handle office workloads and multitasking. A 256GB SSD stores the operating system and essential files. The Full HD touchscreen adds direct input for presentations and note-taking.

Integrated graphics and compact frame

Integrated Intel Iris graphics drive the 1920x1080 display without a discrete GPU, keeping the chassis thin and light. The 14.0-inch footprint fits standard bags and leaves desk space for documents or a second screen. No optical drive reduces weight and frees internal volume for battery capacity.

Silent operation for office use

With no dedicated graphics card, the cooling system runs quietly during typical productivity tasks. The efficient 11th Gen processor manages power draw to extend time away from a charger. A backlit keyboard supports work in low-light conditions without increasing thermal load.

Questions about this item

Does the Core i7-1185G7 throttle during long compile jobs?

The 11th Gen Core i7-1185G7 runs at its rated speeds while the integrated cooling manages heat; sustained loads stay within the thermal design of the Latitude 5420 chassis.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the base get when the laptop runs all day?

The integrated graphics and 16 GB memory keep power draw moderate, so fan noise stays low and the grey chassis remains comfortable during extended sessions.

What must I already own to use the touchscreen and backlit keyboard immediately?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, so the 14.0" FHD touch panel and backlit keyboard work straight out of the box without extra drivers or peripherals.
