Dell Latitude 5420 14" touch laptop

This Dell Latitude 5420 is a 14-inch touchscreen laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It suits professionals who need a portable device for office applications and video calls. The integrated graphics handle everyday visual tasks without a separate GPU. Buyers who want discrete graphics for gaming or heavy rendering should look elsewhere.

Core i5-1145G7 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD

The quad-core Intel Core i5-1145G7 reaches 4.4 GHz turbo frequency for responsive multitasking. Eight gigabytes of memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive set the performance ceiling for this configuration. Users who need more RAM or storage capacity will find this specification limiting.

Standard clamshell chassis with Thunderbolt ports

The laptop weighs 1.37 kg and measures 19.3 mm thick, so it fits in most bags without special tools for access. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports provide power delivery and display output alongside USB 3.2, HDMI 2.0 and RJ45. The optional SmartCard reader is not included unless specified.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.4 GHz turbo speed behave once the laptop is under sustained load?

The Core i5-1145G7 runs at 2.6 GHz base and can reach 4.4 GHz on short bursts; thermal limits in the 19.3 mm chassis will pull clocks down during long heavy tasks.

What does the Thunderbolt 4 port actually cap for display and power?

Each Thunderbolt 4 port carries DisplayPort video and Power Delivery, so one cable can drive an external monitor and charge the system simultaneously.

Will the 321.4 mm width fit in a standard 14-inch sleeve?

The body measures 321.4 mm wide, 212 mm deep and 19.3 mm high, so it matches typical 14-inch sleeves designed for those external dimensions.
