Dell Latitude 5420-RB4 laptop

The Dell Latitude 5420-RB4 is a 14-inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It targets professionals who need a reliable machine for office tasks, remote work and daily productivity. The silver chassis weighs 3.0300 kg and includes a non-touch FHD display.

16 GB DDR4 memory and 1 TB NVMe SSD

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz provides headroom for multitasking across browser tabs, documents and video calls. The 1 TB NVMe SSD offers fast boot times and ample space for local files. Demanding creative workloads or large virtual machines may exceed the available memory capacity.

Thunderbolt 4 ports and versatile connectivity

Two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports support power delivery and external displays. Additional ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.0, a microSD card reader, audio jack and RJ45 Ethernet. The integrated Iris Xe graphics handles typical business visuals; buyers needing discrete GPU performance should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the Thunderbolt 4 ports work with my older USB-C dock that only supports USB 3.2?

Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.2 docks and devices. They will operate at the dock's maximum USB 3.2 Gen 1 speed of 5 Gbps.

How can I verify the i7-1165G7 is running at its full 4.70 GHz boost clock under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a tool like HWMonitor while running a demanding task. The CPU frequency should reach 4.70 GHz on active cores if thermals allow.

Does the package include a USB-C power adapter, or do I need to buy one separately for the Thunderbolt ports?

A USB-C power adapter is included in the box. The Thunderbolt 4 ports support Power Delivery for charging, so no separate adapter is required for standard use.
