Rugged 14-inch laptop for field work

The Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop built with an automotive-grade magnesium alloy chassis for extreme impact protection. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-8350U processor at 1.70 GHz with 16GB of 2400MHz DDR4 memory. The 256GB PCIe NVMe drive and outdoor-readable 1920 x 1080 anti-glare screen support mobile professionals in harsh environments.

Suited for outdoor and industrial use.

This unit suits field technicians, first responders and mobile workers who need a certified rugged device with hot-swappable dual batteries for continuous shifts. It includes a fingerprint reader, contacted smartcard reader and contactless smartcard reader for secure access. Buyers who want discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen display should look at other models.

256GB PCIe NVMe storage decides fit

The single specification that decides whether this is the right part is the 256GB PCIe NVMe drive. It determines how much local data, applications and offline maps the laptop can hold without external media. If your workload needs more internal capacity, this configuration will not meet the requirement.
