Built for Harsh Environments

The Dell Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14.0-inch laptop engineered to withstand tough conditions. It targets field workers and mobile professionals who need a device that survives dust, vibration and temperature extremes. The chassis uses specialised materials and test-to-failure validation for reliability. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor.

Integrated Graphics and Display Limits

The system relies on Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated into the processor. This handles the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch panel and external monitors via HDMI or DisplayPort. It is suitable for productivity, mapping and video playback. Demanding 3D rendering, modern gaming or heavy GPU compute workloads will exceed the capabilities of this integrated solution.

Memory and Storage Headroom

The unit ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD. This capacity comfortably runs office suites, browser sessions and field applications simultaneously. The solid-state drive provides fast boot and load times for the operating system and local data. Users working with very large datasets, virtual machines or extensive media libraries may find the fixed memory and storage ceiling restrictive.
