Rugged 14" laptop for field work

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a new rugged notebook built to MIL-STD 810G standards for durability in harsh environments. It suits field engineers, logistics staff and mobile professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro device outdoors. The 14.0 inch FHD outdoor-readable screen remains visible in bright conditions. An Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor at 2.40GHz with 16GB DDR4 memory handles typical business workloads.

Simple deployment with sealed ports

Installation is standard for a rugged laptop: power on, join the domain and apply policies through Dell Client Command Suite or vPro out-of-band management. USB 3.0 ports have closeable doors and the native RS-232 serial port is ready for legacy kit without adapters. The sealed chassis limits user upgrades; the M.2 256GB PCIe NVMe Class 40 drive and soldered memory are not designed for field replacement. Bluetooth 4.2 pairs peripherals quickly.

Outdoor screen and legacy I/O limits

The 1920 x 1080 non-touch WVA panel is optimised for sunlight readability, not colour-critical work. Intel HD 520 graphics drive the internal display and one external monitor via HDMI. Wireless uses Intel Dual Band with Bluetooth 4.2; no newer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth versions are present. The single NVMe slot caps storage expansion at the factory-fitted 256GB unless the drive is swapped in a workshop. Gigabit Ethernet and RS-232 cover wired and serial needs.
