Rugged 14-inch touchscreen laptop

The Dell Latitude 5430 RUGGED is a new 14-inch business laptop built for outdoor and field work. It combines an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with 32 GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed.

Suited for mobile professionals needing daylight

This unit serves engineers, surveyors and first responders who need a bright, glove-capable touchscreen and a sealed keyboard in wet or dusty conditions. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere.

1100-nit anti-glare display decides fitness

The 1920 x 1080 panel reaches 1100 nits with 100 percent sRGB coverage, making it readable in direct sunlight. If your workflow stays indoors at normal office brightness, the premium rugged chassis and outdoor screen add cost without benefit.

The chassis is 4K carbon fiber with plastic resin and TPE. Base material is magnesium alloy for strength.

How do I install a replacement 1 TB PCIe M.2 NVMe drive and what step do people miss?
