Dell Latitude 5450 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5450 is a 14.0 inch touchscreen laptop built for professionals who need a portable Windows 11 Pro device with a responsive display. It suits mobile workers, students and office users who value direct screen interaction for annotations, presentations or quick navigation without relying solely on the touchpad.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The 12-core Core Ultra 5 135U processor runs at up to 4.4 GHz with integrated graphics, so typical office workloads stay within a low thermal envelope. Fan activity remains subdued during document editing, video calls and web browsing, while the 16 GB memory and 256 GB SSD keep the system responsive without drawing excessive power.

Build integration and expansion

The chassis provides a Full HD 1920 x 1080 touchscreen, 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth for peripheral connectivity. Buyers who want more storage or discrete graphics for heavy creative work should note the integrated graphics and fixed 256 GB SSD capacity before committing.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional storage in the Latitude 5450, and what step is often missed?

The laptop uses a single 256GB SSD; adding a second drive requires an M.2 slot that may not be present, so verify the chassis first.

Which component will need replacement first during the laptop's life?

The 16GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded; the 256GB SSD is the only user-replaceable part.

What performance limit appears first under sustained heavy workloads?

The integrated graphics share the 12-core Ultra 5 135U's thermal budget, so GPU-intensive tasks throttle before the 4.4GHz turbo can sustain.
