Dell Latitude 5490 14" laptop

The Dell Latitude 5490 is a 14-inch business laptop equipped with an Intel Core i5 7th Gen processor running at 2.60GHz. It comes with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. The system ships with Windows 10 Home and includes a one-year warranty. It suits professionals needing a portable Windows device for daily office tasks.

16GB memory and 512GB SSD capacity

The installed 16GB RAM across two slots handles multitasking with browser tabs, documents and video calls comfortably. The 512GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application load times for the operating system and active projects. Storage headroom becomes tight if you keep large media libraries or virtual machine images locally.

Intel HD Graphics 620 integrated GPU

The Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1200 WUXGA display and supports hardware video decode for common codecs. It is not suited for 3D rendering, modern gaming or GPU-accelerated workloads that require discrete graphics memory. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance should consider a different system.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" 1920x1200 screen work as a second display for a desktop that only has VGA output?

The laptop has no video-in capability, so it cannot function as an external monitor for another computer regardless of the desktop's output ports.

How can I confirm the Intel HD Graphics 620 is active after installing Windows 11 Pro?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel HD Graphics 620 appears without error icons; the driver version and DirectX support will also be listed there.

Does the box include a USB-C dock or only the power adapter for the 512GB model?

The box contains the laptop and its AC power adapter; no USB-C dock, external drive, or expansion-port covers are included and must be purchased separately if needed.
