Latitude 5490 14 laptop i5-8350U 32GB DDR4 1TB NVMe

This 14.0" laptop runs an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor at 1.70 GHz with 6 MB cache. It ships with 32 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. The HD display resolves 1366 x 768 and is driven by integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Business travelers needing ports and memory

The HDMI, VGA and USB-C DisplayPort outputs suit presenters who connect to projectors or external monitors. Three USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet handle peripherals and wired networks. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel or a discrete GPU should look elsewhere.

32 GB DDR4 memory decides multitasking capacity

The soldered 32 GB DDR4 configuration cannot be upgraded, so the amount of RAM fixes the number of browser tabs, virtual machines or development tools that run simultaneously. If your workload regularly exceeds this limit, a system with user-accessible slots is required.
