Ready-to-work 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5490 ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor at 1.7 GHz, 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. The 14.1" display reaches 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is aimed at office users and mobile professionals who need a complete, tested system immediately.

Check ports, power and OS needs

Verify that your peripherals match the available USB, HDMI and VGA connections. Confirm the included AC power supply suits your regional mains voltage. Ensure Windows 10 Pro meets any software-licensing or management policies your organisation requires before deployment.

Replaces older 8 GB or HDD models

Upgrading from a machine with 8 GB RAM or a mechanical hard drive yields noticeably snappier multitasking and faster boot times. The jump is worth it when daily workloads involve multiple browser tabs, Office apps or light virtual machines. Buyers who need a discrete GPU, larger screen or user-replaceable battery should look elsewhere.
