Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Dell Latitude 5490 is a 14.0-inch laptop built for everyday business use. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5 7th Gen processor with 16GB DDR4 memory. A 256GB SSD stores the operating system and work files. The non-touch display keeps the chassis light for frequent travel.

Upgrade from older dual-core ultraportables

This model replaces machines limited to 8GB of memory or mechanical hard drives. The jump is worth it when multitasking across browser tabs, office suites and video calls becomes sluggish. The 2.60GHz dual-core CPU and 16GB DDR4 remove that bottleneck. Integrated Intel HD Graphics handles standard productivity without a discrete chip.

Fits a compact dock-and-go setup

HDMI output connects to an external monitor for a dual-screen desk. The webcam supports conference calls without extra peripherals. USB ports accept a dock, mouse and keyboard for a full workstation. The 14.0-inch footprint leaves room in a briefcase for documents and chargers.
