Latitude 5490 i5-8350U 14.0" Business Laptop

The Dell Latitude 5490 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 8GB of DDR4 memory. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a 250GB SSD and features a non-touch 1366 x 768 display with integrated graphics. The chassis weighs between 3 and 3.9 lbs and includes one HDMI port.

Suited for Office Work and Study

This configuration suits professionals handling documents, email, video calls and web-based applications, plus students needing a light 14-inch device for coursework. Buyers who need a built-in webcam for meetings, a backlit keyboard for low-light typing, or a touchscreen for direct interaction should look at other models. The 250GB drive also limits users with large local media libraries.

250GB SSD Capacity Decides Fit

The single specification that decides suitability is the 250GB solid-state drive. It provides fast boot and application load times but offers limited space for offline files, creative projects or multiple virtual machines. Buyers who rely on cloud storage or stream content will find the capacity adequate, while those keeping large datasets locally will need supplementary storage.
