The Dell Latitude 5510 is a 15.6 inch FHD laptop powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7-10610U processor reaching 4.90 GHz with Turbo Boost. It ships with 32GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, running Windows 10 Pro on integrated graphics. The non-touch display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution in a gray chassis weighing 1.82 kg.

Suits office and field work; not for heavy GPU tasks

This configuration serves users who need reliable multi-tasking, video calls and all-day battery potential in a 20.98 mm front profile. Buyers who want more storage or discrete graphics for rendering, gaming or CAD should look at something else. The integrated graphics chip handles standard business workloads only.

Check your dock and power needs

Verify that your existing USB-C dock supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 with Power Delivery and DisplayPort alt-mode, as Thunderbolt 3 is optional on this model. Confirm the 7.4 mm barrel connector matches your current charger. Ensure any external monitors accept HDMI 1.4 input for direct connection.

Questions about this item

What cables or adapters must I already have to connect an external monitor to the HDMI 1.4 port?

An HDMI cable that supports the 1.4 standard is required to use the built-in HDMI port for an external display.

Will my older USB 3.0 flash drives and mice work with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports on this laptop?

Yes, the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices, so existing peripherals will function normally.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-10610U is reaching its 4.90 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU, and watch the Speed reading while running a demanding task; it should show up to 4.90 GHz when thermal headroom allows.
