Business laptop with 16 GB DDR4

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch work laptop built around an Intel Core i5-1145G7 running at 2.6 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB SSD. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed. The configuration targets professionals who need a ready-to-use system for office applications and multitasking.

Sustained workload behaviour

The processor maintains its 2.6 GHz base frequency during extended sessions, while the solid-state drive delivers consistent read and write speeds without the thermal throttling seen in mechanical drives. The 16 GB DDR4 pool keeps multiple business applications resident in memory, reducing swap activity. Lower power draw from the SSD also helps preserve battery capacity over a full workday.

Practical interface limits

The platform uses DDR4 memory, which caps bandwidth at the standard JEDEC rates for this generation. The 1 TB SSD fits a single drive slot, so total internal storage cannot exceed that capacity without replacing the drive. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit supports up to 2 TB of addressable memory, but the soldered and slotted DDR4 layout limits this unit to the installed 16 GB.
