Business laptop for mobile professionals

The DELL Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for everyday business tasks. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.40 GHz. The system includes 32GB of memory and a 512GB SSD for fast boot and application loading. A 1366 x 768 HD non-touch display and integrated graphics complete the core specification.

Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports expand connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort allow connection to external monitors, docks and high-speed storage through a single USB Type-C cable. Additional ports include HDMI 2.0, two USB 3.2 sockets, one with Powershare, a Gigabit RJ45 jack, a uSD 4.0 card reader and a global headset jack. An optional SmartCard reader supports secure authentication workflows.

Suits office workers needing portability

This configuration suits professionals who value a full complement of physical ports and a lightweight 1.59 kg chassis for daily commuting. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher-resolution display for detailed visual work should look at other models. The HD panel and integrated graphics also limit suitability for colour-critical design or modern gaming.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB SSD need to be replaced for more storage?

The laptop includes a 512 GB SSD. If you need more space later, you can add an external drive via USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 4, or swap the internal drive if the chassis allows.

What limits performance first during long workloads on the i5-1145G7?

The 4-core i5-1145G7 reaches 4.40 GHz turbo, but sustained loads are constrained by the integrated graphics and the cooling capacity of the 19.87 mm thin chassis.

How loud and hot does the 1.59 kg Latitude 5520 get when running all day?

The slim 0.78" profile and integrated graphics mean the fan spins up under continuous load; surface temperatures rise around the keyboard deck and rear vents.
