Dell Latitude 5520 business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.40 GHz turbo. It ships with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. A fingerprint reader and HD non-touch display complete the configuration for office-focused users.

Thunderbolt 4 dual-port connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports provide power delivery and DisplayPort signalling over USB Type-C alongside HDMI 2.0, two USB 3.2 ports, RJ45 Ethernet and a uSD 4.0 card reader. The HD panel runs at 1366 x 768 resolution, so external monitors above 1080p will be limited by the integrated graphics output rather than the Thunderbolt bandwidth.

256GB SSD storage capacity

The single 256GB solid-state drive determines how much local data the laptop can hold without external drives or cloud sync. Buyers who need more storage for large media libraries or local databases will need to add external storage.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 256 GB SSD with 16 GB RAM or look for a larger drive?

The 256 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM suit everyday office workloads and multitasking; if you store large media libraries locally, consider an external drive or a model with more internal capacity.

What does the 4.4 GHz turbo speed deliver in daily use?

The 4.4 GHz turbo on the 4-core i7-1185G7 gives short bursts of extra performance for demanding tasks like spreadsheet recalculations or video encoding, then drops back to lower clocks to manage heat and battery.

What can the Thunderbolt 4 ports actually drive?

Each Thunderbolt 4 port supports power delivery, DisplayPort video output and high-speed data, so you can charge the laptop, run an external monitor and connect fast storage through a single USB-C cable.
