This Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch laptop with an Intel Core i7 1185G7 processor running at 3.0 GHz. It includes 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles the display output on a 1366 x 768 HD panel. Windows 11 Pro is installed. The unit is Grade B with cosmetic blemishes.

Suitable users and limitations

Professionals needing a portable workstation with high memory and fast storage will find this configuration effective. The quad-core processor supports multitasking across office applications. Buyers who need a touchscreen or a higher resolution display should look elsewhere. The integrated graphics are not suited for intensive 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads.

Deciding specification: 32GB DDR4 at maximum

The system ships with 32GB DDR4 which matches the maximum memory supported by the platform. No further RAM upgrades are possible. This fixed capacity determines whether the laptop can handle your intended workloads without future expansion. Verify that 32GB meets your requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6-inch chassis use standard VESA mounting holes for a dock or stand?

The Latitude 5520 does not have VESA mounting holes; it is designed for desk or lap use and connects to a dock through its Thunderbolt 3 ports.

What is the correct order to seat the DDR4 memory modules during a RAM upgrade?

The system ships with 32 GB DDR4 already installed at the maximum supported capacity, so no memory upgrade is possible.

When should the 1 TB NVMe SSD be replaced to maintain performance?

Replace the NVMe drive if SMART diagnostics report reallocated sectors, sustained write-speed drops, or if the drive reaches its rated TBW limit.
