ThinkPad T490s quad-core ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490s is a 14.0" business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8265U quad-core processor with a base clock of 1.60GHz and turbo up to 3.90GHz. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, running Windows 10 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Best for mobile office work.

This ultrabook suits professionals who need a light 14.0" chassis with a fingerprint reader, 720p webcam, Bluetooth 5.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi for secure remote work. Buyers who want discrete graphics for rendering or gaming, or who need more than 8GB of RAM for heavy multitasking, should look at a different configuration.

Soldered 8GB DDR4 limits future upgrades

The 8GB DDR4 SODIMM is the only memory installed and the platform does not support user-accessible expansion beyond this module. If your workload requires 16GB or more, this specific unit will not meet that need.
