Dell Latitude 5520 for professionals

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7 1185G7 processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handle everyday visual tasks. The HD display offers a 1366 x 768 resolution.

Setup and common issues

The laptop arrives with the operating system installed so initial configuration follows the standard Windows 11 Pro setup. Connect the included charger and sign in with a Microsoft account to begin. Users sometimes find the HD resolution limiting for detailed spreadsheets or dual-window work. The non-touch screen prevents direct interaction and the 32GB memory ceiling cannot be raised.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under continuous load the quad-core Tiger Lake processor maintains clocks within its thermal envelope while Intel Iris Xe shares system memory. The 2TB NVMe drive keeps read and write speeds consistent during long file transfers or backups. Active cooling manages heat during extended compile or render sessions and the Gigabit Ethernet link stays stable for prolonged network tasks.
