Everyday laptop for office and study

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.5 inch FHD laptop built for daily productivity. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with a 2.60 GHz base clock. The non-touch screen shows 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz. Integrated graphics handle standard business applications and video playback.

16 GB memory and 256 GB NVMe capacity

Sixteen gigabytes of RAM keeps multiple browser tabs, video calls and documents responsive. The 256 GB NVMe drive provides fast boot times and quick access to essential files. Storage headroom is limited for large media libraries or virtual machines. Heavy creative workloads will exceed the integrated graphics capability.

Upgrade from 8 GB or hard-drive systems

This unit replaces laptops with 8 GB memory or mechanical drives where multitasking feels sluggish. The jump is worth it when daily work involves several apps open simultaneously. Buyers who need dedicated graphics, larger local storage or a touchscreen should look elsewhere. Cosmetic wear is present but does not affect function.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.5" FHD screen at 60 Hz work with my older 1080p 60 Hz external monitor over HDMI?

The built-in panel is a 15.5" FHD 1920 x 1080 60 Hz non-touch display, so it matches the resolution and refresh rate of your older 1080p 60 Hz monitor for a consistent desktop experience.

How can I verify the Intel Core i5-1145G7 and 16 GB RAM are running correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance tab; you should see the Intel Core i5-1145G7 2.60 GHz processor with 4 cores and 16 GB memory reported.

Does the box include the AC adapter and are any cables or docks sold separately?

The AC adapter is included; the three USB 3.0 ports, LAN, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are built in, so no extra cables or docks are required for basic operation.
