The Dell Latitude 5520 N59WR is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with 12 MB L3 cache. It ships with 8 GB of memory in one slot, a 256 GB PCIe SSD, and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics use shared system memory for everyday visual tasks.

Suits mobile professionals.

The anti-glare IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 250 nits brightness works well for office applications and video calls. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide modern wireless connectivity. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming, or who require more than 8 GB of memory out of the box, should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

How do I add more RAM to the Latitude 5520 N59WR and which slot should I use?

The laptop has two memory slots with one 8 GB module already installed; insert the new module into the single available slot and press down until the retention clips lock.

What maintenance will the 256 GB PCIe SSD and 8 GB memory need over time?

The soldered components require no routine maintenance; if capacity becomes limiting, the SSD can be replaced with a larger PCIe drive and the memory can be expanded up to 64 GB using the free slot.

When does the Intel Iris Xe graphics shared memory become a bottleneck during long rendering sessions?

The integrated GPU uses system memory, so sustained heavy workloads that exceed the 8 GB installed RAM will trigger swapping and reduce frame rates first.
