Business Ultraportable with LTE

The ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8550U processor running at 1.80 GHz with a maximum turbo of 4.0 GHz. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD. The 14.0-inch IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution on a matte finish and the chassis weighs between 2 and 2.9 lbs. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics handle the display output. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Professionals needing mobile connectivity.

This configuration suits mobile professionals who value the integrated 4G LTE WWAN module, fingerprint reader and Thunderbolt 3 port for docks or external displays. The MIL-SPEC tested chassis and ThinkShutter webcam cover add physical security. Buyers who need dedicated graphics performance, larger storage capacity or a touchscreen should look at other models because this unit relies on integrated graphics, has a fixed 256 GB SSD and a non-touch display.

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system

The laptop ships with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit already installed, which determines software compatibility and security-update status. Any deployment requiring a currently supported operating system will need an immediate upgrade path. The 64-bit architecture supports the full 8 GB of installed memory. Verify that your required applications and management tools run on this OS version before purchase.
