Business laptop for professionals

The Dell Latitude 5521 is a 15.5" FHD laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-11850H processor at 2.50 GHz. It comes with 16GB of memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The non-touch display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz with integrated graphics. Designed for office work, video conferencing and study sessions.

Thermals and power in daily use

The system uses integrated graphics and a 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port for wired connectivity. Wireless networking is handled by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Three USB 3.0 ports provide peripheral connections. The AC adapter is included for charging. Fan noise and surface temperatures stay low during typical document editing, browsing and streaming workloads.

Deciding specification: 1TB NVMe storage

The single specification that decides fit is the 1TB NVMe solid-state drive. It provides ample capacity for large project files, media libraries and local backups without relying on cloud sync. Buyers who need more internal storage or a second drive bay should look elsewhere. The fixed 16GB memory cannot be upgraded after purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1TB NVMe SSD and what step do people get wrong?

The 1TB NVMe drive is already fitted as the boot drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and activated. The common mistake is opening the chassis to add a second drive before checking the single M.2 slot is occupied.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16GB memory need later?

The 16GB of RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced by the user. No memory maintenance is required. If a fault develops the whole board must be serviced.

What limit shows up first on the Core i7-11850H under sustained load?

The 2.50 GHz base clock drops when the cooling system reaches its thermal ceiling. The 60 Hz display and integrated graphics then become the visible bottleneck for prolonged heavy work.
